Our mid-size blade holder 44408 for 1.5mm HSS blades. Performs well in shallow or deep grooving and parting off with our Proxxon PD 250/E mid-size precision lathe. Requires quick-change toolholder for proper edge height adjustment.

If setting it on other brand lathes, remember the square shank is 8mm x 8mm but the blade edge height is 8.7mm.

Zero top rake means you do not need to adjust or shim the tool height when you sharpen the blade or extend the blade length. Vee-groove for blade seating maintains perpendicular alignment when adjusting blade overhang.

Accepts our 44405 HSS parting/grooving blades, width 1.5mm. Blade is not included. Seen here with 44406 smaller 6mm square holder and 44410 larger 10mm square holder.
